About this item
A good Worcester porcelain teapot and cover well painted with small and delicate floral sprays, with a fluted strap handle and open flower bud knop. Unmarked, c.1765-1768.
It measures 14cm (5 1/2") high, 19cm (7 1/2") long and 12cm (4 3/4") wide.
Condition is very good: there is a short, 1cm, tight hairline at the tip of the spout but no chipping and no other damage or restoration bar a couple of very minor chips to the petals on the knop. Minor handling wear only. There is a firing line running over the top of the upper handle terminal and a short scratch in the glaze just beside it also from manufacture.
