    About this item

A pretty 18th century Worcester porcelain fluted tea bowl and saucer with a delicate pale turquoise enamel band painted below the rims reserving a white chain link pattern defined with black enamel. The border edged with gilt bands each framed with a fine black enamel line and gilt band to the foot of the bowl and centre of the saucer and gilt dentil border inside the tea bowl rim. Unmarked, c.1770.

    The tea bowl measures 8cm ( 3 1/8") wide and 4.7cm (1 7/8") high and the saucer measures 13.5cm (5 1/4") wide, and 3cm (1 1/8") high.

Condition is excellent with no damage or repair/restoration and minor handling wear. One of the centres of the chain link pattern on the saucer is lacking the blue enamel, missed during original decoration.
