About this item
A fine quality early Victorian silver chamberstick with pretty fluted shaped rims to the tray and detachable sconce. A fish shaped handle with flared kick at the terminal and cast acanthus leaf thumb rest houses the original snuffer with decorative finial and reeded rim. All pieces hallmarked for Birmingham 1845, makers Robinson, Edkins and Aston.
It measures 10cm (4") wide across the base and 5.7cm (2 1/4") high to the sconce. It weighs 155g / 5.0ozt.
In very good condition: there is a tiny tear to the finial of the candle snuffer but no other issues and minimal handling wear.
