About this item
A good Worcester blue and white porcelain butter boat painted with "The Butterboat Mansfield" pattern, c.1758-1765. Finely textured leaf moulded exterior and stalk handle and irregular shaped rim. Workman's mark to the base.
Reference: Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790, Branyan, French & Sandon, section I.E.2.
It measures 8.7cm (3 3/8") long, 7cm (2 3/4") wide and 3.8cm (1 1/2") high.
Condition is excellent with no damage, nicks or cracks and no repairs or restoration. Minimal handling wear.
