A delightful 18th century Worcester blue and white porcelain butter boat moulded with geranium leaf exterior with irregular shaped rim and stalk handle. Painted with the "pickle leaf daisy" pattern, c.1758-1765. Workman's mark to the base.
Reference: Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790, Branyan, French & Sandon, section I.E.41.
It measures 8cm (3 1/8") long, 6.7cm (2 5/8") wide and 3.5cm (1 3/8") high.
Condition is very good; there are two small chips to the rim, a short (4mm) hairline at the rim and a tiny nick to the side of the stalk. Minimal handling wear.
