    About this item

A very fine Worcester porcelain chocolate cup with the basic underglaze blue Queen's pattern as a base and then beautifully painted with flowers in the reserved panels and roundels in bright enamels including dry blue. Fine quality gilding over the blue ground and gilt dentil border inside the rim. Unmarked.

Reference: The Zoresnky Collection, Spero & Sandon, entry 206 shows a two handled chocolate cup and saucer identical decoration.

    It measures 7.3cm (2 7/8") high, 9.5cm (3 3/4") rim to rim and 11.5cm (4 1/2") rim to handle.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Some wear to the gilt rim, handle and dentil border but pretty minimal handling wear otherwise.
