About this item
A pretty Worcester porcelain lobed dessert plate or shallow dish with an unusual Sevres style design with wide shaped underglaze blue border over gilded with an oeil de perdrix style pattern. The centre finely painted in enamels with a large spray of flowers framed with purple floral garlands interspersed with pansy type flowers and others to form a loose square frame. Finished with a gilt dentil rim. Crescent mark to the base, c.1770.
Provenance: Collection of Jacob Isaac Ashley.
It measures 19cm (7 7/16") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/4") high.
In very good condition with no damage, repair or restoration and only minor handling wear.
