Lovely first period Worcester medium size sauceboat with strap handle and moulded pattern of panels and flowers framing 3 reserves on each side and below the spout. Painted with The Fisherman & Billboard Island pattern, c.1760, classed as "uncommon" in Branyon, French & Sandon, section I.B.15. Blue crescent mark.
It measures 17cm (6 3/4") long, 9cm (3 5/8") wide and 9cm (3 5/8") high.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and minimal handling wear. It has an underglaze smoothed nibble on the rim from manufacture and 2 small firing lines, one under the foot and the other under the handle.
