About this item
Very pretty Worcester tea cup and saucer with a very fine decoration of large floral sprays. Under-glaze sky blue to create the main flowers and then masses of finely detailed gilding to create the fronds and pick out the veins of the leaves. Edged with a dentil border.
Open crescent mark to both, c.1785.
The cup measures 5cm (2") high, 10.5cm (4 1/8") rim to handle and 8.3 (3 3/4") rim to rim. The saucer measures 13cm (5 1/8") wide and 2.7cm (1 1/16") high.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and surface wear is minimal.
