    About this item

Pretty early Worcester teapot of fluted barrel form with ear shaped handle and bulbous fluted spout with attractive moulded terminal. Decorated in polychrome enamels in the Thunder & Lightening or Flash pattern, c.1770, picked out with gilt highlights. The lid also has moulded fluted decoration and a flower knop.

    It measures 7 1/2" long, 4 1/4" wide and 5" high.

Condition is excellent with no damage (bar some usual tiny chips to the knop petal tips) or restoration and very light surface wear; minimal rubbing to the enamel decoration, just some on the raises rim of the pot and similarly on the edge of the lid.
