    About this item

First Period Worcester large square dessert dish painted underglaze with the Rubber Tree Plant pattern, c.1775. Nicely shaped rim, quite deep and with moulded flutes running from the indents in the rim sweeping down into the dish in a semi-circle back to to the next indent. With decorative branches and pseudo Chinese marks to the reverse as is specific to this pattern.

Referenced in Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790, Branyan, French & Sandon, section I.E.47, the pattern classed as "uncommon".

    It measures 26cm (10 1/4") wide and 4.5cm (1 13/4") high.

Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and very light surface wear. A very nice example.
