    About this item

Fabulous early Worcester sauce boat, c.1775 in the doughnut tree pattern with a pear shaped fluted body and scroll handle with thumb rest. The inside of the boat is decorated with islands with pavilions and small boats, and the "doughnut tree", all set under a pendant husk border. Outside has the Fitzhugh pattern in a wide band of moths and flowers.

    It measures 21cm (8 1/4") long, 11.5cm (4 1/2") wide and 8.5cm (3 1/4") high.
