About this item
A fine Flight & Barr Worcester porcelain teapot, cover and stand with a low moulded waist, incurved shoulders and stepped domed cover with pagoda knop. The fluted handle has a clever in-stepped thumb rest and the spout has decorative moulding to the lower half. Painted with a running frieze of leaves and flower buds in a chocolate brown enamel and gilding, framed with gilt and further gilt decoration around the shoulders, handle and spout. The pot with a gold B mark to the base. c.1795-1804.
The stand measures 17cm (6 5/8) by 13.2cm (5 1/4"). The teapot and cover measures 25.5cm (10") long, 12.5cm (4 7/8") wide and 18.2cm (7 1/4") high.
In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Some understandable surface wear in the centre of the stand. Very minor handling wear to the pot and cover.
