About this item
A stylish double gourd shaped vase, designed by Frederick Rhead in the Iznik style. It was made by Cauldon Potteries and comes from their 'Cairo Ware' range. This particular design is 'Babylon Persian'. It is decorated with stylized hand coloured flowers in the Ottoman style. It dates to the 1930s and bears the Cauldon stamp to the base.
There is a little crazing to the glaze but otherwise it is in good condition.
