A song dynasty style porcelain pillow of the Long Quan kiln. The long Quan kiln is one of the most important song dynasty kilns. Started 1600 years ago, it produces celadon green and lotus leaf green glazed pieces with subtle under-glaze engraving. This piece was designed to be a pillow, but can be used as a hand towel holder. The dragon pillow features waves on the bottom and lotus on the surface. Details of dragon are refined. A beautiful, highly collectible piece of Chinese ceramic art that can be used in sophisticated modern living. A pair available.
