About this item
A very stylish mid-century West German ceramic sculptural vase by renowned designer Fritz van Daalen and probably dating from the 1960/70’s. This futuristic looking sculptural vase has an opening wide round bud shaped top on a tall narrow column shaped lower body and stands on a narrow round unglazed foot with a slightly recessed and glazed base. The vase has a raised and pinched edge around the top with a small shaped opening and is decorated in metallic effect brown toned glazes on a pale green ground. The vase is not marked but its unique shape and design is very distinct and makes it readily identifiable.
Provenance: acquired in the British Art Market
In good condition.
