    Lovely Derby coffee can with a Dresden shape handle painted with striking large floral pattern in an imari palette of red, blue and gold. A finely detailed frieze in similar design runs around the inside of the rim. Gilt bands inside the rims and acanthus leaf detail to the handle. Painted red mark to the base, c.1820.

    It measures 9cm (3 1/2") rim to handle, 6.7cm (2 5/8") rim to rim and 6.5cm (2 9/16") high. Condition is very good, there is a fine, tight hairline to the right of the handle and some light crazing. No chips or restoration and minimal surface wear.
