    About this item

A pretty Regency porcelain tea and coffee trio by Henry & Richard Daniel in the Estrucan shape with angular handle. Decorated in pattern number 3859 with wide mazarine blue borders with white and lemon yellow enamel shaped reserves painted with garden flowers and further reserving feather shapes, finished with gilt and both gilt embellishment over the blue of scrolls, stars, stylised foliage and flowers. The outside of the cups has a lemon yellow border below the rim with a slim blue band below all edged and decorated in gilt and replicated in the centre of the saucer. Gilt rims, foot rims and handle detail. Unmarked save the coffee cup with pattern number 3859, c.1820.

The saucer measures 14.6cm (5 3/4") wide and 2cm (3/4") high. The tea cup measures 9.2cm (3 5/8") rim to rim and 4.2cm (1 11/16") high. The coffee cup measures 7.5cm (3") rim to rim and 6.6cm (2 5/8") high.

In very good condition overall. The saucer has a discoloured hairline under the centre extending into a fine glaze line to one side. Two firing faults in the glaze of the coffee cup and all pieces are very finely crazed. Very minor handling wear.
