Carl Harry Stålane designed footed bowl for Rorstrand, Sweden, 1950s
A soft grey haresfur glaze with gold flecks in the aventurine style compliments this rounded
triangular bowl sat on a small concave foot.
Scribed underneath with an ‘R’ for Rorstrand, three crowns, (a symbol of Sweden,)
The letters ‘SHX’ indicating the pattern shape of the bowl and the letters ‘CHS’ for
Carl-Harry Stalane’s bowl signature.
Carl-Harry Stalane was a Swedish ceramic artistworked for Rorstrand for over three decades
during which time he became artistic director and chief designer. He is represented at the
Swedish National Museum of Art & Design.
In excellent condition, no chips, cracks or flea bites.
