18th Century underglaze blue and white Dessert Plate.
In the "Garden Pattern" The plate is of hexagonal shape and is finely painted in underglaze blue with figures in a typical watery landscape with a bridge in the foreground. The scene is contained within a formal border with further floral and scroll designs applied around the outer rim. The plate has a brown painted edge with an unglazed foot and is typically not marked. Size Diameter 28,25cm; Origin Chinese although typically not marked as shown Age Qianlong Reign circa 1740 but possibly earlier Item Condition The plate is offered in good presentable condition without restoration. There is fritting to the edges in parts
