    About this item

    A fine large John Rose Coalport slop bowl of flared shape with inner mazarine blue ground with large circular central reserve and three shaped reserves well painted with flowers in bright enamels. Ornate gilt decoration edging the reserves and stylised grape vines in between. A running blue and gilt border runs around the outside. Unmarked, c.1820-1825.

    It measures 16.5cm (6 1/2") wide and 8.6cm (3 3/8") high.

    In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear. The surface is finely crazed from manufacture.
