About this item
A large Regency Bloor period Derby porcelain dessert plate with shaped rim with gadrooned moulding picked out in gilt. A rich mazarine blue ground with large central circular reserve with multi-layered dentil edge to the frame and three smaller shaped reserves with gilt edging. All very well painted with stylised garden flowers in bright enamels. Ornate gilt decoration over the blue ground. Trace of Bloor Derby crown mark t the reverse and gilder number 27. c.1825-1830.
It measures 25.8cm (10 1/8") wide and 2cm (3/4") high.
In very good condition: two small nibbles out of the edge of the gadrooned rim and three small chips to the reverse. No other damage or repair. Very fine crazing as is common for Derby of this period and a small patch of discolouration to the reverse. Minor handling wear.
