Miniature Armitage salesman's sample sink early 20th century
A miniature salesman's sample sink, made by Edward Johns & Co Ltd of Staffordshire under their Armitage Ware tradename, and dating to approximately the 1920s. It is marked 'Armitage Ware' in the basin, while the back bears the printed Johns backstamp. It is made to scale and out of the same glazed porcelain as the full size model.
This scale model would have been carried by a salesman to showcase Armitage Ware products without having to take a full size version out to customers.
