    About this item

Rare pair of Derby porcelain miniature figures of a boy and girl dressed up as Turks in fine exotic type robes, c.1815. Finely decorated in bright polychrome enamels, with gilded highlights and stood on a small scrolled base. Red marks c.1815.

Incised N63 to base, known as "Small Turks" in the Haslem list.

    They measure 9 cm (3 1/2") high  4cm (1 1/2") wide and deep.

Condition is very good with a couple of points to note: The female is missing the bobble from her hat and has had a very small chip to her cape colour matched.  The male has had a very small invisible section of restoration to his cape.
