This is a stunning early Aesthetic movement transferware 7 inch tall x 7 1/2 inches wide tureen with under tray/platter. Transfer printed in rich blue with a white ivoryware earthenware pottery typical of the Josiah Wedgwood factory in the Staffordshire potting district of England. Decorated with a lush kaleidoscopic botanical image of peony flowers. The peonies are interwoven can converge in the center.
Never Used. A minuscule flake off the inside of the rim’s railing. Light weight and impeccably made.
