    About this item

First period Worcester porcelain scallop shell moulded pickle dish painted in the two-peony rock bird pattern, c.1754-1760. Workman's mark to the base.

    It measures 11cm (4 3/8") by 9.3cm (3 5/8) wide and 2.8cm (1 1/8") high.

In very good condition: three small shallow surface chips to the rim and a nick to the reverse. Very fine scattering of kiln dust to the glaze on the reverse and a small area of slight discolouration to the rim in the top right corner. Very nice neatly painted example.
