    About this item

A large Caughley cream / milk jug of baluster form with sparrow beak spout and fluted strap handle. Painted with the Rock Strata Island pattern, often found on Worcester porcelain but rarely on Caughley. c.1780-1785. Blue painted C mark to the base.

    It measures 12cm (4 3/4") high, 10.8cm (4 1/4") spout to handle and 8cm (3 1/8") wide.

Condition is very good; there is a small chip to the foot rim but no other damage or restoration and the spout is good. Minimal handling wear, a very nice example.
