An 18th century Derby figure in biscuit porcelain, of classical theme, depicting Jason at the altar of Diana sacrificing a goat kid, the model named as Sacrifice, number 14. There is a female partner to this figure which is very rarely found. Beautifully modelled with exceptional detail of the kid and the bowl catching the blood at the base.. Patch marks to the base and incised N14, c.1775.
It measures 14.5cm (5 3/4") high and 7cm (2 3/4") by 5.2 (2 1/8") wide.
In excellent condition with no damage or restoration.
