About this item
A charming Queensware nursery wash jug and bowl set made by Wedgwood in approximately the late 1920s. The back and front of the jug, and the inside of the bowl are decorated with handpainted roundels featuring various animals - a squirrel holding an acorn, a dog with a ball, a duck, a pig and a rabbit. It does not bear an artist's signature, but some similar pieces from around this time are attributed to Daisy Makeig-Jones. The base of both the jug and the bowl bear the Wedgwood backstamp.
The condition is very good with minor wear commensurate with its age.
