About this item
A very pretty and ornate Derby porcelain ornament modelled as a urn shaped vase set on an elaborate pierced base with 4 paw feet, highly decorated in gilt on a white ground. The upper part of the vase has applied encrusted flower detail all round. Inside the vase are arranged a spectacular bouquet of porcelain flowers in a startling array of shapes and colours. Marked faintly to the base with the printed red crown Robert Bloor mark, c.1825.*
It measures 17.2cm (6 3/4") high and 9.5cm (3 3/4") wide.
Condition is good; there has been some minor losses and restoration to some of the flowers / petals but this has been done well and the piece displays very nicely. There is no damage or repair to the vase or base. The surface is finely crazed and there are two very small patches of slight discolouration but they are tucked under the belly of the vase.
* I do have another of these, they came as a pair, but the other one has quite a bit more restoration and does not display as nicely so I have separated them but if you were interested in them as a pair please ask and I will provide more details.
