    A fine Ridgway bone china porcelain trio set of tea cup, coffee cup and saucer in the "Round Embossed" shape with relief moulded decoration of shaped mazarine blue borders, abstract wreath type shapes with coronets, floral sprays and diaper pattern, all over-gilded. Shaped gilded handles with flower shaped upper terminals. Peach coloured enamel reserves and inside the cups  and saucer centre finely painted garden flowers in bright enamels and large gilt floral sprays. All pieces marked with pattern number 2 over 835 in red. c.1818.

    Reference: A Compendium Of British Cups, Berthoud, plate 631 for both shape and pattern.

    The tea cup measure 6.3cm (2 1/2") high to the handle and 9.8cm (3 7/8") rim to rim. The coffee cup measures 7.3cm (2 7/8") high and 8cm (3 1/8") rim to rim and the saucer measures 2.8cm (1 1/8") high and 14.6cm (5 3/4") wide.

    Condition: the tea cup has a neat repair to the handle and a very tight 1cm glaze line off the rim. The coffee cup and saucer are in very good condition with no damage or repair. Minor handling / stacking wear.
