About this item
A very fine stoneware match striker and holder, made by Royal Doulton in the early 20th century. It is decorated in relief with a floral and foliate design. The base bears the impressed Doulton backstamp and the artists' monograms 'hd' and 'MB' used by E Violet Hayward and Maud Bowden. The condition is excellent.
A great decorative piece, ideal as a paperweight.
