Seated Rustic Seasons Bow Porcelain Figure Of Winter c.1765

A fine Bow porcelain figure of Winter from the series The Seated Rustic Seasons, set on a raised scrolled base, c.1765. He sits on a log warming his hands over a brazier, hunched over in his cloak with berried sprigs set around the base. Decorated in bright enamels and gilding with a small anchor and dagger mark to one side of the back of the base.

It measures 16.5cm (6 1/2") high and 11cm (4 1/4") wide and 9cm (3 1/2") deep.

In rarely excellent condition with no damage, repairs or restoration. Some fine hairlines from firing under and across the back if the base.
