About this item
This set of 3 graduated jugs was made by the Maling factory in Newcastle and is decorated with an all over printed pattern of blue chintz, with the flowers and leaves coloured by hand. They were made by Maling for the Rington Tea Company, which had a long association with Maling to make tea ware to be used as a promotion for their tea. The largest of the jugs stands 221 mm (8.75 inches) high, has a width of 202 mm (8 inches) from handle to spout and a depth of 154 mm (6 inches). There is some discolouration to the inside of the largest jug. Otherwise the set is in very good condition. The set would date from around 1935.
