    About this item

A small, early 19th century, silver resist lustre tea bowl and saucer. Both the cup and saucer are decorated with a band of grapes and vines. The design is painted on, using a mixture of oils, and the items are then dipped in the silver lustre glaze. The oils resist the lustre, leaving the design showing through in the base colour.

    English. Date c.1820.

Condition: There are two small chips to the rim of the saucer, one to the rim of the tea bowl, and staining to the base of the tea bowl.

Dimensions: Overall height 5.2cm. Diameter 11.5cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10.
