About this item
A small, Sunderland lustre jug printed with the verse “Ladies all I prey make free And tell me how You like your tea”. Jugs with this verse are usually a baluster shape. This shape is quite uncommon and it dates from c.1840. The verse is surrounded by a floral cartouche, which is coloured in polychrome enamels, and bands of pink lustre. It is in very good condition, with just a little wear to the pink lustre.
Dimensions: Height 7cm. Diameter 7.2cm. Width 10.2cm.
