About this item
A stylish Spode bone china sucrier and cover with stand with a squared bombe shape, painted with brown enamel and gilt, pattern number 1023, an almost identical design to one seen on slightly earlier Worcester Barr period teawares. The sucrier base and stand both marked SPODE 1023 in red, c.1810.
The sucrier measures 15.2cm (6") long by 9.5cm (3 3/4") wide and 11.5cm (4 1/2") high and the stand measures 18cm (7 1/8") by 14.5cm (5 3/4") wide.
Condition is very good with no damage or repair. Minor surface wear mainly to the gilt in a few places.
