    About this item

    Early Black Transferware Large Plate

    PALESTINE PATTERN

    WILLIAM ADAMS POTTERIES

    Longport, Staffordshire, England   1836 - 1864

This is a gorgeous plate, circa 1840. It measures 9 1/2 inches wide with a wavy scalloped edge.

The piece is decorated in the pattern called PALESTINE.  The transfer print features a Persian scene with abundant dahlia flowers and fancy roofed gazebos with mountains and temple in the background.  Scenic vignettes of a flower strewn river bank with domes and minarets in the background grace the border of this plate.

Great Condition, clean shiny and bright.  Never Used.
