This stunning earthenware transferware plate is a wonderful piece of 19th century transferware! The piece measures 9 1/4 " in diameter and is transfer printed in dark chocolate brown. It is beautifully decorated with a continuous roping of flowers along the rim. A cartouche is filled with geometric designs and exotic Fruit with a Peacock feather floating around the plate. A wild Thistle stands erect and prickly in full bloom.
GREAT CONDITION, clean shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks and no repairs. It is outstanding reflecting the Victorian love of the nature.
