About this item
A very attractive Victorian sugar box with a very festive feel. It was made in Staffordshire by William Brownfield in 1881. It is made of stoneware and is patterned with a relief-moulded design of sprigs of mistletoe. It has scroll handles and a neat little knop to the lid. The base bears the Brownfields backstamp, the design name and the registration diamond dating it to 1881. This lovely little piece would make a wonderful Christmas present and it would look very at home on the festive tea table.
It has a small patch of restoration to the lid but otherwise is in great condition.
