SUPERB AESTHETIC BROWN TRANSFERWARE PLATE
LOVEBIRDS
Longwy, France ~ c. 1885
This Victorian aesthetic large 9 3/8 " plate is transfer printed in cinnamon brown on a bright white background. The clear and crisp pattern features a border of luscious wildflowers and maiden hair fern fronds surrounding a pair of Lovebirds perched upon a branch. The transfer is perfectly applied and has special ornithological interest.
Condition is great, shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs. Normal rim stilt marks.
