About this item
Modelled by James Hadley, this pair of Royal Worcester figurines is entitled "The health of the King". They stand 330 mm (12 inches) high and date from 1891. They are decorated in stained ivory while the gentleman's waistcoat and the ladies fan are very delicately painted and gilded with flowers as well as a windmill on the fan. Unfortunately the champagne flute is missing from the gentlemans upraised hand.
