About this item
An unusual and very attractive set of ceramic knife rests dating to the 1950s/60s. What makes these knife rests so charming is that they are also candle holders, each one having a hole to take a small candle at one end. Each of the set of 6 is glazed in a different vibrant colour with gold detailing, and each is topped with a different animal. They bear no maker's marks but were probably made in France. They are in great condition. Candles included.
These rests would adorn a party dinner table beautifully - they would be especially suitable for a small Birthday party.
