This is a stunning early Aesthetic movement transferware large 9 7/8 inch plate. Transfer printed in rich blue with a white ivoryware earthenware pottery typical of the Josiah Wedgwood factory in the Staffordshire potting district of England. Decorated with a lush kaleidoscopic botanical image of peony flowers. The peonies are interwoven can converge in the center.
The plate is in outstanding condition. Never Used.
