About this item
VICTORIAN BLUE TRANSFERWARE PLATE
OCEANIC PATTERN
Brownhills Potteries
Staffordshire England c. 1882
These very large Victorian 10 1/2 " wide dinner plates are transfer printed in blue. A rarely seen pattern for sale and our favorite in Seaweed motif.
The pattern features a huge sailing vessel in a cartouche surrounded by quivering Seaweed. The bottom of the plate features a variety of exquisite seashells and other exotic Seaweed flora. Tiny shells laced together with Seaweed grace the rim.
Condition is great. A stunning addition to your collection of Seaweed and Seashells.
