These Victorian aesthetic 9 1/8 " supper plates are transfer printed in very dark brown. The clear and crisp MELBOURNE pattern features delightful Japanesque geometric designs mixed with exotic palm trees and other tropicals. A shoreline with sailing vessels set to the horizon while a large flock of birds fly by.
An inset cartouche of a large winged Heron in flight within a Star and quarter Moon landscape and another inset of a Egyptian type butterflies circling a flower. This pattern has everything going for it.
Good condition, clean shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.
