About this item
Pretty Chamberlain tea bowl and saucer of waisted, shanked shape with double ribs to the tea bowl. Painted with dark brown and gold flowers and with a gold and brown dotted band, the pattern is described in the pattern book as "brown & gold sprigs & wreath", pattern number 258 which is painted in gold under the saucer. c.1800-1805.
The tea bowl measures 5.8cm (2 1/4") high and 8.7cm (3 7/16") wide. The saucer measures 3.2cm (1 1/4") high and 14cm (5 1/2") wide.
Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Minimal surface wear to the tea bowl, a few small wear marks to the gilded band on the saucer and very minor wear to the rim.
