Standing 195 mm (7.75 inches) high this very attractive Royal Worcester cupid figurine is from a set of four figures entitled "Dancing Cupids", the set having been modelled by James Hadley. It carries the shape number 466. He stands on a rocky base and is blowing a rams horn, whilst his right hand holds a sceptre. The painting of the face has been done most delicately and the whole piece is in excellent condition. The date would be from around 1875.
