About this item
A charming Staffordshire figure of Autumn showing a boy squeezing grapes into a cup, c.1850. Wearing a green jacket, pale blue breeches, and with gilt decoration, decorated in the round, he is stood on a naturalistic mound with shredded clay set on a square base. Vent hole to the base.
He measures 7.2cm (6 3/4") high and 6.3cm (2 1/2") wide across the base.
Condition is good; he has had a neat repair to his left wrist. No other damage or restoration bar a tiny nick to the back of the base. Some crazing to the base and across the feet. Enamels are nice and bright, minimal handling wear.
