About this item
LARGE AESTHETIC BROWN TRANSFERWARE POLYCHROME SERVING BOWL
SEAWEED PATTERN
Josiah Wedgwood and Sons
Staffordshire England 1883
This very large Victorian 10 1/8 " wide x 4 3/4 " tall raised serving bowl is transfer printed in brown with incredible polychrome coral reef coloration.
The pattern features a variety of large ocean seaweed drifting around the inside and outside of this bowl. Three large bright red Lobsters hold the bowl up as they seem to climb up the rim. One of the very best patterns.
Appears to have never been used and in great condition. Very light roughness to a spot along the rim.
